The following was posted to the Facebook page of Centerville Fire/Rescue.
Tonight we hosted the monthly town board meeting and had a wonderful turnout. During the meeting Fire Chief Dennis Spears presented Cadet Jeremiah Cromis an Award of Excellence. Cadet Cromis assisted with gathering all medical equipment needed for an emergency at the Centerville High School Gym and assisted arriving EMS units to the location of the emergency without hesitation. We congratulate Cadet Cromis with his performance.
Congratulations to Jeremiah Cromis, KD9CCW, Centerville Fire/Rescue Cadet for a job well done!
The roster has been updated with changes that had been requested. If you notice any other changes, please let Jim Scott KB9SJZ or Marc Cromis KD9BPQ know so we can get it taken care of. Also, the March Meeting Minutes have been posted. I would like to thank Steve Shank KB9HQX for stepping in during my absence.
Marc Cromis KD9BPQ, Club Secretary
Attention members, the February minutes and the updated club roster have been added.
Just wanted to let clubs know BARC is planning to start having a few fox hunts in Bloomington. I know a few clubs in the area had previously enquired about fox hunt activities in our club.
The club is raffling off a Baofeng UV-82 144/440 HT radio. The radio has been donated by Club Vice President Ron Weadick. Tickets are $5.00 each. The raffle is open to HAMs and non-HAMs. You must be a licensed HAM to win the radio. The non-HAM prize is $50 cash.
The drawing will be held at the end of our club meeting on Tuesday, April 11th. To purchase tickets, please contact Club Secretary Marc Cromis at email@example.com or come to the club meetings on March 14th or April 11th.
Club meetings are held at 7:00 PM at the VFW Kirk Little Post 1108 located at 213 South 8th Street, in Richmond, Indiana. Please use the south door.
The Echolink seems to be working, and hopefully I now have all the bugs worked out of the system. It is linked into the 147.180 + 82.5 KB9SJZ Repeater and are used by the N9JM Whitewater Valley Amateur Radio Club.
To download the Echolink program to your smart phone go to the App Store, and you will have to get your callsign approve by Echolink. If you are approved already to use the program and would like to be added to the KB9SJZ echolink then email your name and callsign to firstname.lastname@example.org. This is a closed system and only open to approved members.
